Wordless Wednesday

For Wordless Wednesday this week, I thought it would be a cute idea to post a picture of Joey at speech therapy using PECS. What better "wordless" picture would there be than of him communicating with pictures ~ right? Of course ~ only the great picture I thought I was getting didn't quite turn out right.
I usually watch his speech therapy sessions through a window that looks into the room. And me, being the expert photographer that I am, figured I could get a great shot from my ringside seat. What I didn't realize is that all I would get was this:

Trust me, it is a perfect shot of Joey handing his speech therapist the strip with the pictures on it! Now all you get is a look at the purple striped shirt I was wearing and part of my lovely arm. I am making a new statement in photography this week I guess and letting it publicly be known that yes, sometimes I am an idiot. So to make up for it I am also adding this shot I took of Joey after school today:

What is it about kids and empty boxes? This has been his toy of choice the last couple days. He gets inside it, puts things in it, bangs on it, and throws it while smiling and laughing the whole time. Oh well, who am I to judge? :o) Happy WW!

  6. Kids loooove empty boxes. My kids HOUNDED the moving men when the army moved us 2 months ago. Luckily the first set of moving guys were nice to give them boxes to play with. The second set, not so much :(

  9. LOL Rachelle, too funny! I've done the same thing myself :-)

Jess loves boxes too. I try and tell my family not to waste money on toys (she won't play with them) and just save up boxes and sales fliers..they'll make her the happiest kid in town!!

  13. I love it! I am and idiot a lot of the time!!

I don't know what it is with boxes either. Myah loves to just sit in any old box. Maybe it's some type of therapy?!

  14. And it always happens on the shot you really wanted! He looks so happy with his box. For Frog it is packing material (bubble wrap, packing peanuts, etc.) Sometimes we wonder why we even bother with the gift when the packaging makes his day.

  18. That was hilarious. I love that you shared that story with us. As for the boxes, I always say I don't know why we spend so much money on toys, Sean much prefers a box, too. Give him a shoe box and he's as happy as a clam.
