Team CdLS exceeds goal
The 2008 Chicago marathon is over, and I am happy to report that all the members of team CdLS finished the race and exceeded their goal of raising $70,000. The official total is not in yet, but hopes are it will be closer to $80,000. A big thank you from our family goes out to all the participants ~ we appreciate all of your hard work! Beth Smisloff, whose son Will, age 17, has CdLS, was one of the participants. To read her marathon recap, click here. What these people have done is tremendous. Without the CdLS Foundation and all it does for our family and countless others, I don't know where we would be. The money that has been raised can help further the efforts of the foundation to reach out and help all families affected by Cornelia de Lange Syndrome. Great job every one ~ and thank you so much!
