Pumpkin Patch Parade
Yes ~ you are viewing the extent of our "pumpkin carving" this year! Meet our new friends Miss Kitty, Puppy Dawg, and Little Bear. In years past, we have always managed to find time to do some carving but this Halloween has found us with less time than ever and I'm not entirely sure why. So I found these cute pumpkin faces at Walmart last night and thought the kids would enjoy trying this for a change. It was definately less messy! It also gave Emma & Abbie a chance to show us what they could do with a hammer (the pieces were too hard for them to stick in the pumpkin by themselves) and I'm happy to say they did fairly well with no injuries to report! :o)
We are joining in a Pumpkin Patch Parade over at four green & speckled frogs. To see more great pictures in the parade or to get in on the fun yourself, click here. Show us what your pumpkins look like! Trick or Treat ~ hope everyone gets lots and lots of candy!

Those are so cute! I like that the little ones can get more involved when there is less mess and no sharp knives to worry about.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining the Pumpkin Patch Parade!
Happy Halloween :0)
I think they are really cute! I don't think we are going to get to the pumpkin carving this year, unless I am really inspired today.
ReplyDeleteWe never did pumpkin carving in England. When we arrived here and got the notion that this was something important we also bought one of those little pumpkin carving kits from the supermarket = completely useless. You need a machete to carve a pumpkin. I think hammering 'things' into a pumpkin is a quite superior option.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Very cute! That's a great idea for little ones - maybe I'll get those for Ben and Nate next Halloween.
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween! CUTE pumpkins!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween! I love the pumpkins. Like I said to Frogs Mom, I've never seen these before, Definitely on the list next year.
ReplyDeleteThose faces are neat, kinda like mr potato heads! My younger daughter made one with them at a Halloween Party. I'll have to look for them next year! : )
