Scrappin' 4 a Cure

Oh. My. Gosh! Scrapbooking is the greatest thing ever! And you are now hearing from the newest addict in the scrapbooking world! This weekend I attended Scrappin' 4 a Cure, a scrapbooking event to help raise money for cancer research. It was fun, fun, fun! It is so relaxing and stress free I didn't want it to end. You get to visit with friends, eat great food and work on different projects. This was my first attempt at scrapbooking and I am so sorry I haven't started it before. I almost love it more than going to garage sales! Now that's serious! And to top it off, I won the grand prize drawing! I couldn't hardly believe it! It's this really cool tote bag to carry supplies in. I love it so much I might use it as a purse too!

Some pictures of the scrapping crew...

My two first ever pages! One from Emma's birthday party...

And one from our trip to the CdLS Conference in Chicago last summer...

One of me with my Grand Prize!

My cool new scrappin' bag...

I have to give a big shout out to my hubby for taking care of the kids while I was scrappin. Thanks dear! And also thanks to the Relay for Life Team Our Family Tree for hosting this event. I had a blast!

  1. I miss scrapping so much. I was a big one too, totes full of things to do. Now I blog. *sigh* No room or time to scrap. It's a lot of fun and I am so glad you had such a wonderful time.

  3. Sounds like fun!! And lucky you winning the Grand Prize...that's a cool bag! I think I'd use it as a purse too :-)

Your scrapbook pages came out awesome. I found I didn't have the patience for paper scrapbooking, but I love digital scrapping...no mess to clean up!

  7. I'm glad you enjoyed it!! I'm not sure I'm cut out for it!! I got burnt out pretty fast and I think I took it too seriously. I get too goal oriented and then get stresseed that I'm not getting my goal done which means I have to be serious!!
